Saint George School was established in 1944 under the leadership of Monsignor W. Lawrence Franklin, with support from the Sisters of Mercy.

Saint George School is a preeminent elementary school based in traditional values and dedication to educating children in the faith of Jesus Christ.

Tuition Angel Fund

The Tuition Angel Fund provides financial aid to families who are in need of tuition assistance. Contributions to the fund are received from grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, businesses, and others. The contributions can be restricted to a specific child or family. Often, donations are received from families who lose a family member and who designate our fund for memorials.

Teacher Wish Lists - Gifts in Kind

Non-cash gifts of property such as computers, books, scientific equipment, and art materials also make important gifts to our staff of teachers. The fair market value of such items normally is deductible for income tax purposes. A formal appraisal is required by the IRS for gifts in kind valued at over $5,000.00. Gifts of appreciated stock allow for very favorable tax treatment for donors.

Memorial Books

Saint George School offers the Memorial Book Donation Program through the Lancer Library. A library book is a very special way to remember someone and to share that memory with others. A memorial bookplate is placed on the inside cover of the book you purchase in recognition of the memorial. Donations of books often are made to mark special events, including birthdays and graduations. To purchase a memorial book, submit a Memorial Book Program Donation Form, designating the party to be memorialized or honored and the name of the donor, along with a check payable to:
